We are seeking a QA Lead who brings both hands-on testing expertise and quality leadership to the table. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can build scalable QA processes, lead a team of testers, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of QA engineers to ensure thorough test coverage and timely releases.
- Define and implement QA strategies, test plans, and test cases for manual and automated testing.
- Drive test automation efforts across web, mobile, and API layers using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or similar.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Development, and DevOps teams to define quality benchmarks and release criteria.
- Monitor and improve quality metrics like defect leakage, test coverage, and test execution timelines.
- Conduct root cause analysis for critical defects and suggest corrective/preventive measures.
- Own the defect lifecycle, ensuring clear documentation, prioritization, and timely resolution.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies like sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily standups.
- Mentor junior QA team members and promote a culture of quality across teams.
- Stay current with trends and best practices in QA, automation, and testing tools.
Qualification and Required Skills:
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software testing.
- Solid understanding of QA methodologies, automation frameworks, and testing best practices.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, Appium, or Playwright.
- Proficiency in API testing using tools like Postman or REST Assured.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter) and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) is a plus.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in fintech or SaaS domain.
- ISTQB or equivalent QA certification.
