In this role, you will hold a critical position in driving strategic initiatives, architecting solutions, and overseeing the implementation of cutting-edge DevOps practices. Here’s an overview of the key responsibilities for the Sr. DevOps Engineer / DevOps Manager position:
Roles and responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain and scale production services across multiple environments over cloud/on-prem deployments
- Cooperate with developers and infrastructure teams to ensure highly available and scalable production systems
- Communicate effectively with customers to gather requirements, provide updates, and address concerns.
- Provide training and documentation to teams on DevOps best practices, tools, and processes.
- Improving and enhancing our monitoring solutions.
- Defining methodology that supports internal teams’ processes.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and services, as well as expertise in cloud infrastructure management.
- Strong skills for AWS and related tools such as AWS CloudWatch, AWS Code pipeline, AWS S3, AWS ES2, AWS ECS, AWS Task Definitions
- Knowledge of best practices for security and the capacity to integrate security measures throughout the software development lifecycle.
- A commitment to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
- A deep understanding of agile methodologies and principles.
Qualification and Required Skills:
- A bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a similar one.
- Solid background in software development, IT management, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency with programming languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript (React/Node).
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and technologies, such as Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and Ansible.
- Experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
